Traditional 10G SFP+ optical modules normally use two fiber strands—one for transmitting and one for receiving.
The HIPHOTONICS BiDi module uses WDM technology to transmit and receive optical signals at different wavelengths over the same fiber. A complete link therefore requires a matched pair of modules with complementary wavelengths.
